THE BEST CINNAMON ROLLS

Ingredients

  • 2 (1/4 ounce) packages Active Dry Yeast
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup plus Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 2 whole Eggs
  • 3 whole Egg Yolks
  • 5 1/4- 5 3/4 cups Flour
  • 14 tablespoons Butter
  • 5 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 6 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3 heaping tablespoon Honey
  • 2 tablespoons Cinnamon

Cream Cheese Drizzle

  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 3 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 1 1/4 cup Confectioners Sugar
  • 1/3 cup Buttermilk

Instructions

Mix water, sugar and yeast for 8 minutes for the dough. After foaming, buttermilk, sugar, milk, vanilla and eggs are added. After mixing well, flour is added. Knead for 5 minutes until the ingredients are completely combined. A soft but not sticky dough is obtained. A little more flour can be added if needed. Add the butter to the dough to be evenly distributed and continue to knead. When a completely smooth dough is obtained, it is covered and left for 2 hours.

When the dough rises, it is divided into 2 equal parts and rolled into a square. Spread cream cheese and butter on each square. The square is tripled in both directions.

Mix all the ingredients for the filling.
It is placed in the prepared squares and rolled into a rectangular shape.
If you prefer, you can also press nuts and raisins into it.
The dough is rolled into a tight roll and cut at 2-inch intervals.
After it is placed on the tray, it is covered with plastic wrap and refrigerated for 1 day.
After it is taken out of the refrigerator, it is allowed to come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
Bake in a preheated 375F oven for 30-35 minutes.
After cooling for 10 minutes, cream cheese sauce is drizzled.
